I setup Calendly today

An amazing person, an amazing friend, knew what I needed. It took a few reminders. Fairly regular reminders. It was planting the seeds, with a little watering along the way. The perfect amount of water with a little sunshine along the way. Today, I realized I absolutely needed it.

I’ve been trying to make myself more available. I recently added “Lift as we climb” to my frequently used one-liners. So I’ve been making time at night, and on the weekends, to be available.

I realize that I have no idea what I’m doing. I don’t have anything figured out yet. I am just willing to share my experience, and my perspective to people who might find that valuable.

Over the last few years, I have had some really amazing people in my life. They have reached out, for no reason, just to check in. They have shared their perspectives, and given me time. I didn’t have to ask for it, or feel like I needed to return a favor. They have been available to me. They have invested their time in me, and I’m grateful.

I want to do more of that, for others. Lift. As. We. Climb.

Scheduling things is hard. I hate that I have to schedule time to chat with my friends, but I’m also grateful that I can. Scheduling things with “about to become friends” is even more difficult. MrXinu understood my struggles. He understood in a way that only a real friend could.

This morning, I installed Calendly. It is already making a difference.
